1997 Company foundation by Michael Klink and Heribert Quast, company location in Otto-Schmerbach-Straße in Chemnitz

2004 Joined the Association of German Tool and Mold Makers ( VDWF )

2005 first successful DIN ISO 9001 certification

2008 6th place in “Excellence in Production” in the category of best external toolmaking under 50 employees (in the DACH region)
New acquisition of an OPS 550 with pallet robot: Orientation of production towards automation

2011 Expansion of the machine park with an OPS 650: Integration into automation

2013 Introduction of the planning and information tool PPMS Segoni: optimal resource and scheduling for all projects

2015 Hermle C42 U with pallet system: start of automation in the steel milling sector

2016 March: groundbreaking ceremony for the new company building
October: Move to the new company complex at Jagdschänkenstraße 102 (28 employees)

2017 May: History Celebration of the 20th anniversary of µ-Tec GmbH

2018 February: our trainee Daniel Baumann completes his tool mechanic apprenticeship as the best in Saxony
New acquisitions: ELB SWN 8 Easytouch grinding machine, AgieCharmilles Drill 20 starting hole drilling machine, Ingersoll Gantry Eagle 800 with pallet changer, Hermle C42 U (33 employees)

2019 March: New acquisition of the Keyence VHX-6000 digital microscope for final tool assembly
July: Presentation of the Dream Company Award (37 employees)

2020 April: Installation of 228 photovoltaic modules with a total area of 383m² for more sustainable production
June: Joining the Saxon Innovation Cluster for Fuel Cells and Hydrogen HZwo for future technical and technological support of our customers in fuel cell development and resulting in a cost-effective series production
